What are you doing this weekend? If you have at least 15 minutes or more available, why not help monitor bird populations through the Great Backyard Bird Count? The event runs Feb 18th-21st, and you can participate on just one or every day of the count. Check out the GBBC’s website for full instructions, regional checklists, and printable tally sheets. There’s even a photo contest! I’m going to try to take part each day of the count, and I’ll update here with my observations and hopefully some descent photos.
